Sue and Simon Kirk came into the business of topiary viewing it as an essential feature of indoor/outdoor design. Our emphasis is on enabling others to create effect.

Box Topiary (buxus semperviren variety) has a history of at least 2000 years. In modern times it has been a mainstay of the formal gardens of Europe.

Sue has been an interior designer most of her life and views topiary as an extension into exterior design. Today, the trend is for a more formal appearance to our homes and apartments. Topiaries provide a signifi cant enhancement, in particular, buxus semperviren topiary.

Prior to this venture, Simon has been both a business consultant and an operator of two businesses.

Sue and Simon have lived with the product most of their lives. They have a strong belief in the importance of buxus topiary in design around a home.

The Box Topiary nursery in Taupo was established some 35 years ago and remains the single, majority provider of mature buxus topiary throughout NZ. Sue and Simon have full admiration for the foresight and dedication of the founder. Similarly, the product today is clearly a function of the long-serving, creative, diligent and industrious staff.
